Take a minute to remember all the good things that happened during  2014 and make this new year even better. I would like to say thank you to all of you reading my posts because you guys have given me so much support and to be honest I'm very thankful for that because I never thought anyone would read or even take a look at my blog but you guys do read what I post and you guys are one of the best things that happened to me during 2014. Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad!

It's finally that day, the day everyone starts to get ready for before Halloween. It's Christmas Day. I hope you guys have a wonderful day with family and loved ones. I doesn't matter if you believe in Santa Claus or not , if you believe in God or Jesus, if you just see this holidays as a day where you can enjoy with the people you love or if you just like the decoration, food and presents, I still want to wish you a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest. 

This day brings back so many memories, so many wonderful times. I am so happy because on this day Michael and I got engaged last year and now this Christmas we are going to celebrate as a family with our daughter. She is the best Christmas gift I have ever gotten and I am so honored to be her mother. I am so blessed to have my little family and to spend her fist Christmas together.

All those families who lost a loved one during the holidays or they just get sad during this time of the year, I would like to remind you that your loved one would love to see you happy, they might not be here but their spirit is always there with you. Keep in mind I am not telling you what to do but I am trying to help because I know the pain. I lost my mom when I was 13 years old but I'm still happy because I know she would like me to be happy. Don't be sad and don't think about the bad moments, think about all those amazing times you guys spent together. Keep a positive attitude and please be careful. 

Remember don't drink and drive!

My Favorite Things About The Holidays

Hello Friends 

We all love the holidays for different reasons, so I decided to share my reasons to why I love the holidays,

• People are usually nicer and in a better mood. ( Unless they are doing some Christmas shopping)
• I love all the decorations! They just make me so happy.
•  The food! All the cakes, cookies, ham, pork and all the other yummy things.
• This might sound weird but I love receiving Christmas cards and keeping them!
• The music for sure! I love both English and Spanish Christmas music.
• Bath and Body Works because they bring back all the best candles.
• I love seeing little kids happy!
• Getting to spend time with your family and friends.
• I just love the holidays because it reminds me of my mom.

Working In Retail During The Holidays

The Holiday! The most wonderful time of the year, unless you work doing retail.

Last year around this time I used to work at Macy's and oh lord I can tell you so many stories.I'm going to tell you a little bit of what my job was so you have a better idea. Everyday I had to fix, fold and pick the merchandise from the floor, I also had to help any customer with everything they needed, I had to answer calls, let the office know if someone was trying to steal merchandise, sometimes even help people take things to their cars and on top of that I also had to help any do the register as well since we had so many customers during the holiday. Yes, I did all that while I was pregnant. But I'm just going to share the reasons why working in retail during the holidays is a nightmare because if I share all my stories about working in retail I would probably never finish talking.

Reasons why:

• People tend to be really rude and mean towards the people working at the store.
• Customers think you are some kind of robot and get mad when things don't go as planned ( like when they want to use a coupon but it's not valid for that purchase)
• The registers always stop working right when you need to help a customer.
• Customers love to fight about the price to try to make you give them a discount.
• If something bad happens and it's not even your fault the customer will blame it on you and call the manager.
• People get mad just because they have to wait.
• Your co- workers always call off and you have to stay longer.
• People will make a mess right in front on you while you are fixing the merchandise, making you start over again.
• The play the same songs all day to the point that you just can't do it anymore.
• Most of the times my store would be open until 11 pm or 12 am and no one can leave until all the customers are out of the store and sometimes we would stay until 1:30 am.
• They used to make me work even on my days off.

I can probably list a lot more but I think these are my main reasons.

My Holiday Traditions As A Child

Hello lovely friends

I wanted to make this post a little different and share some of the traditions I celebrated as a child.

The Holidays can be very stressful, time consuming and it can also do so damage to your bank account but after all it's a wonderful and joyous time. I love this time of the year because we all celebrate it in so many different ways and we share some traditions and we also get to see other traditions as well. I love seeing how different every person is as well as their believes. As a child I was raised in Puerto Rico now a day I live in Kentucky, U.S. , yes, as you may already know there's a big difference between both of those places. Puerto Rico have very warm weather so there is no snow therefore I didn't believe in Santa Claus, the traditions are totally different and the language is different as well. My family celebrated Christmas, New Years and the Three Kings Day so I believed baby Jesus and the Three Kings were the ones leaving the presents under the tree. On Christmas eve I would place baby Jesus under the tree while my whole family was together, we would listen to music, dance, eat and just talk and I would go to bed early in hopes that I would be able to see him leaving the presents under the tree but of course I never did. On Christmas Day I would get up really early in the morning to find all my presents under the tree. When I was little my brother and sister were already adults and had their own family so I was the only child at home so I would always wake up my parents after running to the tree and making sure I did get my presents and after waking them up I would open all my presents while they were around. After I was done opening everything I had to eat breakfast and then play with my presents. My mom would start making food right after we had breakfast because my brother, sister and their families would come home early to eat together and exchange presents. Later on the day everyone would go and do whatever they had to and some times later that day we would have other family members come over and have a Christmas party or just go to the house of the person hosting the Christmas party. New Years was always my favorite! Our whole family would get together also including friends and their families and we would have a big celebration. There were always ridiculous amounts of food for everyone to eat and even take home. We would dance, have hot chocolate, fireworks, very very loud music, all the kids would be running around including myself, I would also show everyone all the Christmas lights we had around the house, we had lights everywhere and I loved that. At midnight everyone would be so happy about the New Year that just begun, everyone would hug and kiss and wish everyone a happy New Year. Most of the time the party would last until 5 or 6 in the morning. Later on that day we would have to get ready to go to my cousin birthday even though we would sing to her as soon as it was 12 am on January the first. A few days later we would celebrate the Three Kings Day, on Three Kings Day Eve we would go to the park and cut the greener grass we would find and put it in a box under the tree for the camels to eat because I believed that they came from far far away to bring the Three Kings to my house to leave my presents under the tree. Next day would be just like Christmas. I remember every year my uncle would have a huge party so huge that they used to close the whole street so it would be safe for people and kids to walk and run around. There would be food, games and he would have three guys dressed as the Three Kings and give gifts to all the kids.

Now that I'm older I still love the Holidays but I see them in a whole different way.
